Paruppu Sadam

Paruppu Sadam -Urad Dhal rice



Ingredients

Black/white split urad dhal - ¼ cup
Boiled rice - 1 cup
Garlic - 10 pcs
Grated cocunut - ½ cup
Fenugreek - ½ tsp

Method
  • Dry fry dhal and fenugreek till aroma comes but the dhal should not turn red.
  • To the rice add the fried dhal and fenugreek, wash them well.
  • Add the other ingredients to rice and add 3 cups of water for the above measurement of rice.
  • Add salt and gingeley oil.
  • Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • Add salt and mix well.

This rice should be taken with til thoval or cocunut thoval. Perfered vegetables avaial, raw banana poriyal, kothukeerai.
