Black urad dhal dosa (Mullu ulundu dosa)
Ingredients
Raw rice - 4 cups
Black urad dhal (whole/split) - 1 cup
Fenugreek - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
- Wash and soak the rice for 2 hours. Dont soak the urad dhal
- Grind the rice in mixie/ grinder.
- Wash and grind the urad dhal separately along with fenugreek.
- Mix the rice batter and urad dhal batter. Add salt
- Allow the batter to ferement overnight.
- Next day dosa is ready.
- Pour the batter on a hot pan and add gingeley oil.
- Roast on both sides.
- Black urad dhal rice is ready.
Dosa Batter
The color of this dosa will be slighty different as we are using black urad dhal.
This dosa is taken with Poondu mulagai podi (garlic powder), red chutney and ellu mulla podi (til powder).
